Individual Packing List
Clearly mark ALL items with your name!

Things to pack in your 5-gallon plastic bucket:
- Small flashlight or headlamp and extra batteries
- One mess kit: (metal pie pan, non-breakable mug, silverware - NO paper/plastic/glass items)

- One hand towel
- One wash cloth
- Scriptures (old copy of the Book of Mormon)
- Two heavy duty garbage bags for wet/dirty clothes
- One roll of toilet paper (placed inside a plastic bag to keep dry)

- Journal and pen or pencil
- Small first aid kit (Band-Aids; Neosporin; moleskin for blister prevention/treatment, etc.…)
- Epi-Pen (if applicable)
- Medication (prescribed only) *4-day supply
- 20 feet of: 550 cord or thin nylon rope

- One small roll of duct tape (brand new or recently used)
The following should be a 4-day supply:
- Baby wipes in sandwich size zip lock bag
- Comb or brush
- Small toiletries (travel size) toothbrush, toothpaste, non-aerosol deodorant, Q-tips, bar of soap, etc…
- Bug / Insect Repellent (prior to TREK, suggest you treat your clothing with Permethrin)
The following should be a 4-day supply:

CLOTHING for ALL
- One warm, wind resistant jacket
- One rain poncho
- One pair of sturdy durable hiking boots/walking shoes (worn/broken in)
- Four pairs of sturdy socks (thick synthetic hiking socks or wool –NOT cotton)
*suggest you bring four pair of thin socks and four pair of thick socks
- Four pairs (top & bottoms) of underclothing
- One pair of warm pajamas or sweats -- beanie cap optional for sleeping
- One pair of work gloves (to prevent blisters while pulling/pushing cart)
YOUNG MEN Clothing – wear one, pack the rest
- Two pair wool, canvas, or cotton pants—light colored will be much cooler
**NO Denim, Cargo pocket pants or Military Uniforms
- Belt or suspenders or both
- Two long sleeve shirts, flannel or cotton with collar--light colored will be much cooler
- One western style hat with brim (consider one with chin strap)
**NO Military hats, Ball caps or Visors
YOUNG WOMEN Clothing – wear one, pack the rest
- Two mid-‐calf length long sleeve dresses or skirts (should be above ankles for easier walking, especially with mud)
- Two long sleeve blouses--light colored will be cooler
- Two pair knee length bloomers (can make out of old PJ pants or scrubs – put lose elastic in the bottom)
- One apron with pockets – optional but very useful
- Supply (4-days) of feminine hygiene items
- Pioneer Bonnet with neck flap to protect from sun or wide brimmed sun hat
**NO Military hats, Ball caps or Visors

Things to have in your pocket(s) or small pouch with strap or drawstring pack:
- Sunglasses (optional)
- Eye glasses (if applicable) --contacts will be difficult with dust and wind
- Disposable or Small Digital (NOT a phone camera) Camera (optional)
- Wristwatch (optional)- Pocket knife/Gerber/Leatherman (optional)
The following should be a 4-day supply:
- Lip balm with sunscreen
- Small sunblock
- Small hand sanitizer (optional)
- Kleenex
- Kleenex
Things to have on your person
-One Sturdy, see through wide mouth water bottle with way to carry it (carabiner, ribbon, strap, etc.) Recommend a: Nalgene, Camelback, Rubbermaid or Contigo brand
EVERYONE BRINGS:
-Sleeping bag & Sleeping Pad (Therm-a-Rest or thin foam--not oversized) rolled together and put inside doubled garbage bags
or if available, a waterproof bag -- with your name on it.
-Small Tarp or Visqueen (enough plastic to serve as a ground cloth and shelter from the rain)
WHAT NOT TO BRING:
Bring ONLY items on this list.
NO electronic devices, including but not limited to: cell phones, I-pods, I-pads, computers, Gameboys, MP3 Players, etc., with the exception of a small inexpensive digital camera.
