Parent personal letter to your child

Dear Parents/Guardians of Youth,

Please take some time to write a thoughtful letter to your youth and then seal it in an envelope with their first and last name clearly written on the front.  This letter will be opened and read by them on the trek while they are spending time alone during what’s called the Solo Experience.  Each youth will find a quiet place where they can be alone to have time to pray, reflect, read scriptures and also open their letter from you.  Youth that have gone on trek in the past have always given great feedback about their solo time.  You can use this letter to open your heart to your child about your own testimony, about how you feel about them as a child of God and/or any other precious things you feel would be important to share with them to bolster their courage and their feelings about themselves.  The letter is meant to remain personal between you and your child.
